The purpose of this project was a study of genetic algorithms and, in particular, of their application in event classification and feature selection.
The classification algorithm we describe is implemented as a Java applet. Allowing the user to vary relevant parameters and observe changes in performance of the algorithm further illustrates its strengths and weaknesses.
