Welcome to my home page. It's pretty empty for now, but hopefully things are on the way!
My field of research is Computational Geometry. You can obtain
information about the Computational Geometry Lab at the CGM homepage.
For information about the School of Computer Science (SOCS) or the university, go to the SOCS homepage and the McGill University homepage.
Research Interests
- Masters thesis with Prof. Godfried Toussaint, on
a beautiful geometric paradigm: The
Rotating Calipers. First used as a way of finding the diameter of a convex
polygon, it has been shown since then to help solve a variety of problems in
Computational Geometry. My own Rotating Calipers
homepage provides lots of information. Prof.
Toussaint's Rotating
Calipers page is another excellent source. Enjoy the demonstration of the Rotating Calipers below, determining the anti-podal pairs of the polygon.
Rotating Calipers in Action!
-
Computational geometry. Prof. Toussaint has a lot information, links to resources and applets on the web, his own research intererests, and links to many interesting computational geometry sites. Check it out!
