University Residence Accommodation
Rooms for GD '98 participants
have been reserved at the McGill University student residences.
The rates are CAD 33 + tax per room
per night, and CAD 27 + tax for students.
Taxes are roughly 15%. Some taxes can be
refunded for non-residents of Canada, if you save your original receipts
and fill out an application. For more information,

Revenue Canada.
The McGill University student residences are within easy walking
distance (5 minutes) from the conference venue.
The rooms in the residences are single rooms equipped with sheets and
towels. Bathrooms are down the hall. Laundry facilities are downstairs,
and a Cafeteria (for breakfast Mon-Fri) is nearby. The residences are
open 7 am - 10:30 pm daily (access after 10:30 pm is possible, but difficult,
and should preferably be avoided).

In making your reservation, be sure to include the following information:
- Full name
- Address
- Telephone or Fax
- (optional) email
- Date of arrival
- Date of departure (note that it will not be possible to stay
longer than August 16th, as the rooms are needed for incoming
students)
- Expected time of arrival (if after 4pm, please provide a credit
card number to secure your room)
- Student / Non-student (If student, please bring a student ID)
- Method of payment (Master Card, Visa, Canadian or US cheque, traveller's
cheque, cash). Please do not send credit card information by email.
